How to calculate Socar usage fee
1. Rental fee
This is an hourly rate that you pay for the amount of the vehicle you rented.
For example, if you rent an EV6 (electric) car for 3 hours, 119,130 x 3 = 357,390 won on a weekday basis
2. Driving fee
You can easily think of it as the price of gas, which is charged per kilometer according to the distance traveled.
For example, if you drive 200 km in an EV6 (electric) car, 70 won x 200 = 14,000 won
3. Total fee
The sum of 1. rental fee + 2. driving fee is the total fee charged to the customer.
Socar usage fee specials
1. Information on the standard time for applying the rate (based on the rental start time)
Weekdays: Sunday 19:00 – Friday 19:00 (late night: 02:00 – 06:00)
Weekend: Friday 19:00 ~ Sunday 19:00 (including holidays and our designated peak season)
2. Information on special rate plans
Rentals are available in 10-minute increments from a minimum of 30 minutes.
Rental rates may vary depending on the reservation conditions as they operate on a flexible rate system according to conditions such as vehicle type, region/soca zone, day/time, peak/off-peak season, etc. Please check through the app.
The driving fee is charged according to the actual mileage when returning the vehicle, and a separate mileage fee is applied according to the mileage section. Please check through the app.
Rental fees and driving fees are subject to change according to our internal policy/oil price fluctuations.
When using additional services such as calling, a separate fee is charged considering the cost of returning the vehicle.
The extension fee is applied separately from the rental fee.

The amount of Socar may seem a bit expensive when simply calculated. However, carsharing services such as Socar give you various coupons when you install the application.
