Press the “Emergency Shutdown” button on the bottom right of the Kakao T Bike screen. (Note that if you use the emergency shutdown too often, you will be restricted from using the bike, so use it only when the lock is broken.)

If you click “It’s out of order”, Kakao Bike will automatically close and payment will proceed.
3. Kakao T Bike usage fee
Charges are based on usage time.
The usage fee was changed on August 21, 2019, but the basic fee went up as bicycle insurance became mandatory.
For the first 15 minutes or less, 1,130 won (basic fee 1,000 won + insurance fee 130 won) and 500 won per 5 minutes thereafter.
Charges are charged in increments of 5 minutes, but as soon as 5 minutes exceed, the charge is added, so it is exactly 500 won until 4 minutes and 59 seconds.
The Kakao Bike basic rate has risen again from August 19, 2020 (Wednesday).
The basic rate is KRW 1,500 (insurance included) and the usage time is less than 15 minutes / KRW 100 per additional minute thereafter.
370 won increased from 1,130 won to 1,500 won (insurance included), and billing in 5-minute increments was changed to 1-minute increments.

From June 14, 2021, the basic fee for Songpa-gu, Seoul, Seo-gu, Jeonju, and Ulsan was changed to KRW 150 per minute. Originally, the basic fee was 1,500 won per 15 minutes, but the unlocking cost (including insurance) for these areas is 200 won, and it has been changed to 150 won for 1 minute of use. This is a significant increase from KRW 1,500 for 15 minutes to KRW 2,450 for 15 minutes. It is likely to increase nationally in the future.

I thought that 1,500 won for 15 minutes was more expensive than the bus fare, but it is true that it is burdensome to use because it is more expensive.

For reference, Kakao T Bike is charged after the manager directly collects it.
